In its ongoing effort to deliver the National ID System services accessible and closer to the people, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Biliran conducted National ID registration to the senior citizens at the comfort of their homes in Brgy. Jamorawon, Almeria on 24 April and on 07 May. This initiative specifically targeted bedridden and physically challenged individuals who are unable to visit registration centers.
The house-to-house and special on-site registration aim to provide a seamless experience for vulnerable individuals, allowing them to complete the process without leaving their homes. During these visits, the registration team captures biometric data, verifies demographic information, and issues the ePhilIDs/National ID in paper form to individuals who have completed the registration steps. This approach ensures that no one is left behind in the government’s efforts to build an inclusive and comprehensive National Identification System.
PSA Biliran also highlights the vital role of family members and caregivers in assisting their elderly relatives. They are encouraged to prepare the necessary documents in advance such as birth certificate or a valid government-issued ID to facilitate a smooth and efficient registration process.
Through initiatives like this, PSA continues to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive service delivery, especially for marginalized sectors of the population. The agency remains steadfast in its mission to ensure that every Filipino has access to the benefits and services brought by a national identification system.
