
As part of the ongoing series of presentations on the preliminary results of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS), personnel from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Eastern Samar convened with the officials and selected personnel of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Salcedo on the morning of 08 August 2025. The activity was conducted at the Municipal Hall of Salcedo and was participated by representatives from various departments and offices of the municipality.
Also present during the event was Honorable Mayor Melchor L. Mergal, who warmly welcomed the PSA team and the other participants. In his message, he emphasized the significance of the data collected through the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) in the preparation and
updating of their comprehensive development plans. He highlighted that such data serves as a vital benchmark for identifying priority programs, projects, and interventions that address the real needs of the community.
The presentation of the initial key findings of the 2024 CBMS was led by Senior Statistical Specialist and POPCEN-CBMS Focal Person, Mr. Randy G. Ador, together with Statistical Analyst – COSW, Ms. Andrea Michelle B. Arre. Following the presentation, they discussed the upcoming CBMS activities and outlined the necessary requirements for the forthcoming Data Turnover Ceremony.
