05 December 2024 – JIPAPAD, EASTERN SAMAR – The Rehistro Bulilit campaign was successfully launched yesterday, December 5, 2024, at the Municipal Covered Court in Jipapad. This initiative aims to register children aged 1 to 4 years old who have not yet been included in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys). By bringing registration services directly to local communities, the campaign makes it easier for families, particularly in remote areas, to access essential government services without the need to travel long distances. The ongoing rollout across the province ensures that more children are properly registered and included in the national ID system.

As part of the Philippine Statistics Authority's PhilSys initiative, the campaign contributes to the target of registering 92 million Filipinos in the national ID system by the end of December 2024.

The registration process was designed to be quick, simple, and child-friendly. It involved capturing the child's demographic details, taking a front-facing photograph, and linking the child’s PhilSys Card Number (PCN) to their legal guardian for authentication. This ensured a seamless experience for both children and their guardians.

During the launch, the team successfully registered 78 individuals, including 46 children under five years old.

To inform parents and guardians about the importance of the PhilSys National ID registration, an informative session was held prior to the registration process, outlining the requirements and benefits of the program.

The PhilSys Rehistro Bulilit Campaign will continue to expand its reach across other municipalities in Eastern Samar, ensuring that the National ID is accessible and inclusive for all Filipinos.
