Arteche, Eastern Samar – On July 18, 2025, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Eastern Samar represented by Information System Analyst II Nory James L. Apura and Statistical Analyst Jethelyn Jo. T, Plata, delivered the preliminary results of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to officials of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Arteche. The activity took place at Doda Toyay’s Coffee and Tea and was part of PSA’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and strengthen data-driven decision-making at the local level.
The session was attended by key representatives from the Municipal Planning and Development Office, Municipal Treasurer Office, and Municipal Civil Registrar Office. Participants were given an overview of disaggregated data reflecting access to electricity, clean fuel/technology, internet and safety of households within the municipality. They were also informed about the upcoming CBMS-related activities especially regarding the Data Turnover Ceremony. A short open forum followed the presentation, allowing LGU personnel to clarify details and raise suggestions for further data utilization.
Moving forward, PSA is committed to strengthening its partnership with local government units to fully leverage CBMS data in enhancing the accuracy and relevance of local planning efforts.
