PSA Eastern Samar Conducts Bandilyo for the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS in Borongan City

2024 POPCEN-CBMS field personnel with participants from the Local Government Unit of Borongan City during and after the motorcade and bandilyo.

22 July 2024 – BORONGAN CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority Eastern Samar Provincial Statistical Office in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Borongan City spearheaded the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (2024 POPCENCBMS) motorcade and bandilyo Monday, July 22, 2024 around the city proper of Borongan.

Representatives from the City Planning and Development Office, Office of the City Population Development, City Civil Registrar Office, Barangay
Officials, PSO Eastern Samar personnel and 2024 POPCEN-CBMS hired field personnel participated in the activity. Following the motorcade and bandilyo, a short program was held at the Borongan City Multi-purpose Gym to garner support from the LGU and address concerns from the barangay level regarding the conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS.

The enumeration began on July 15, 2024 with over 300 field personnel employed in Eastern Samar. This includes 24 Census Area Supervisors, 25 Team Supervisors, and 339 Enumerators, 52 of these enumerators assigned to Borongan City.

The 2024 POPCEN-CBMS is a nationwide government undertaking that involves the collection, compilation, evaluation, analysis, publication and dissemination of data on population count, demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the population, housing statistics, and other relevant data.
