As of June 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Eastern Samar Provincial Statistical Office, through its Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) team, has successfully registered 408,091 individuals in Step 2 of the Philippine Identification System meeting the 94% of the 2024 target of 432,131. This accomplishment represents a substantial step forward in our initiative to achieve full registration within the province.

A breakdown of PhilSys registrations by Municipality in Eastern Samar is presented in the Table below.

The PSA Eastern Samar PhilSys team has been actively bringing registration services to barangays across the province through mobile registration. Other activities include participating in one-stop shop caravans, job fairs, and collaborating with the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Family Development Sessions (FDS). We have also launched the registration of children below 5 years old in the Municipalities of Dolores, San Policarpo, Llorente and Guiuan. This will continue in other municipalities in the province.

To facilitate PhilSys registarion, we have designated fixed registration center located at PSA Eastern Samar provincial office at J.B. Japzon Bldg. Circumferential Road, Barangay Balud Borongan Eastern Samar to provide convenient PhilSys registration services for individuals.
