30 January 2025 – TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE: the Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VII (PSA RSSO 8) is immensely grateful to the Regional Statistics Committee (RSC) in Region VIII for the approval of Resolution No. 18, Series of 2024. The resolution endorses the integration and onboarding of the National ID (NID) Basic Online and Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) Authentication Services in the business processes and transactions of government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, local government units, government financial institutions, and other relying parties in the private sector within the region. The two-page resolution was duly signed by RSC Chairperson and NEDA Region VIII Regional Director Meylene C. Rosales, and released on 27 January 2025 to all concerned member agencies.

The   PSA   lobbied   for the  support of RSC during its 4th Quarter Meeting held at   Hotel de Fides,  Tacloban   City on 16  December  2024. PSA RSSO 8    Regional Director, Wilma A. Perante, thanked the RSC for their support and shared that it is high time to integrate the National ID Authentication Services to maximize the benefits of its integration into the systems of relying parties.
