31 January 2025 – TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE. In January 2025, a series of Online Refresher Training sessions were held from the 16th to the 19th for personnel from the Provincial Statistics Offices’ National ID offices, both field and office-based. This training aimed to enhance their knowledge and skills essential for delivering frontline services effectively.

Regional Director Wilma A. Perante highlighted the timeliness of this initiative, especially with the recent hiring of new staff who require comprehensive training. The training covered various crucial topics, including registration guidelines, updating demographic information, data security, feedback and grievance mechanisms, and strategies for increasing public awareness.

The PSA encourages the public to register for their National IDs. Those who have registered but have not yet received their physical IDs can visit the nearest PSA Registration Center to request their printed ePhilID. Additionally, individuals can secure a Digital National ID by visiting national-id.gov.ph.

The National ID serves as a foundational identification document, providing valid proof of identity and simplifying transactions with both government and private sectors through streamlined validation processes. In Eastern Visayas, operations at PSA Fixed Registration Centers commenced on 02 January 2025, while mobile teams began serving various barangays on 20 January 2025.
