12 June 2025 – TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE. The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VIII (PSA RSSO 8) joined in the celebration of the 127th anniversary of Philippine Independence through the Kalayaan Day Job Fairs organized by the Department of Labor and Employment – Region VIII (DOLE-RO8) with the theme “Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan” held on 12 June 2025 at Robinsons North, Abucay, Tacloban City, Leyte.

PSA RSSO 8 offered its National ID (NID) and Civil Registration services among job seekers on a featured one-stop shop set up where all government services were offered to assist them the needed requirements for job application, and pre-employment documentation. They were able to register for their NID and applied for Civil Registry documents in security paper. Registration Officer III and NID Regional Focal Person also presented NID Authentication Services encouraging all government and private relying parties to make use of the free system.

During the DOLE RO8 simultaneous Information and Service Caravan for the Project Angel Tree, PSA RSSO 8 affirmed its commitment to fully support the implementation of the Philippine Program Against Child Labor along with other partner agencies who signed the Pledge of Commitment.
