03 February 2025 – BORONGAN CITY. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Eastern Samar Provincial Statistical Office, in collaboration with the City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) of Borongan City, led the launching of the 35th Civil Registration Month on 03 February 2025. The event carried the theme “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System”.

The event gathered key stakeholders from local and national government agencies in the province to raise awareness on the importance of civil registration to ensure that Filipinos benefit from an efficient, inclusive, and responsive civil registration system.

The celebration commenced with a motorcade around Borongan City proper, followed by a short program at the PSA Eastern Samar Provincial Statistical Office. Supervising Statistical Specialist Suzanne B. Amosco, representing Chief Statistical Specialist Ronnie A. Bajado, delivered the welcome remarks. Meanwhile, Borongan City Civil Registrar Ma. Luisa M. Azul III emphasized the significance of civil registration and outlined the month-long activities of CCRO Borongan City.

One of the program’s highlights was a trivia segment on civil registration, hosted by Leonardo N. Rañola, Registration Officer I of PSA, which engaged participants in an interactive and educational discussion.
