06 January 2025 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Biliran officially received one (1) Starlink Satellite Unit, an internet constellation that provides high-speed internet connectivity, donated by Governor Gerard Roger M. Espina of the Provincial Government Unit of Biliran aimed at enhancing connectivity and public services. The donation is part of the Governor’s ongoing efforts to improve internet access for government offices and schools in the province. 

Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Renavil V. Cueva expressed her gratitude to the Governor for choosing the office as one of the recipients of his donation program in the province. With the provision of reliable internet access, this office will be able to improve its digital services such as communication, reports, statistical processes, National Identification System services, and issuance of civil registry documents, among others. 

Moreover, CSS Cueva commended Governor Espina’s efforts in supporting various public services in the province. This initiative strengthens the partnership between the Provincial Government of Biliran and PSA Biliran in ensuring the delivery of quality public services towards equitable development for improved quality of life for all Biliranon.

In addition to this effort, the Provincial Government of Biliran has also been active in supporting PSA’s endeavors over the years.
