03 April 2023 – NAVAL, BILIRAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Biliran Provincial Statistical Office conducted a “Training for Solemnizing Officers (SOs) of Biliran Province Pastors Association (BIPPA) on Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2021 at Christ Baptist Church, Vicentillo St., Naval, Biliran.

The training on Administrative Order No. 1 Series of 2021 aims to provide the SOs with the important provisions of the “2021 Implementing Rules and Regulations Governing the Registration of Authority to Solemnize Marriage of Bishops, Heads/Founders of Religions and Religious Sects, Priests, Rabis, religious Ministers, Tribal Heads/Leaders/Chieftains.” With this activity, SOs are also expected to review their roles and responsibilities as the one exercising authority in the solemnization of marriages.

Registration Officer IV (RO IV) Jimmy M. Dagupan of Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office VIII served as the training resource person. He was assisted by Registration Officer II Edna D. Felicita of Philippine Statistics Authority – Biliran Provincial Statistical Office.
