The Samar Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) held its 2025 First Quarter Provincial Statistics Committee Meeting on March 26, 2025, at the Samar State University Convention Center, City of Catbalogan. The meeting was attended by representatives from fourteen (14) member agencies.  PSC Vice-Chairperson and CSS Riza N. Moraleta presided over the meeting.

Seven major agenda items were presented and discussed during the meeting: (1) Updates on the 2024 Provincial Product Accounts (PPA) Compilation; (2) 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Data Processing; (3) 2024 POPCEN-CBMS Geotagging of Service Facilities and Government Projects (SFGP); (4) Map Updates; (5) Updates on Agriculture Statistics Survey; (6) Updates on the National ID System; and (7) Guidelines for the Best Provincial Statistics Committee Award.

The Committee also passed Resolution No. 1, s. 2025, “Endorsing to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan the Fast-tracking of the Establishment of the Technical Working Group (TWG) for Settling Map Boundary Disputes among Local Government Units (LGUs) in Samar”.
