The National ID Registration Team began conducting registrations on 20 January 2024
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Samar Province has officially resumed its National ID registration drive, aiming to provide residents with a secure and reliable proof of identity. As part of the government’s National ID System, this initiative seeks to enhance the accessibility of public and private services while fostering inclusivity for all Filipinos.
The PSA Samar encourages all residents, including children aged 1-4 years and individuals aged 5 years and above, to register for their National ID. This essential identification system simplifies everyday transactions, from accessing government services to verifying identity for financial and commercial purposes.
What to Bring for Registration
To facilitate registration, residents are reminded to bring the following documents based on their age group:
For Children Aged 1-4 Years:
- Parents or guardians must provide demographic details, including the child’s full name, sex, date and place of birth, blood type, citizenship, and address.
- A clear, front-facing photograph of the child must also be submitted following PSA guidelines, ensuring visibility of facial features and ears.
- Full biometric data, such as fingerprints and iris scans, will be collected when the child turns five.
For Children Aged 5-14 Years:
- Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) issued by either the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) or the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
