Under the leadership of Chief Statistical Specialist Sheryl Ann A. Jamisola, PSA Leyte has conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign to educate its Registration personnel on the National ID system. This initiative aims to ensure that the team is well-prepared to address public inquiries and deliver exceptional service.

Ormoc City, Leyte — December 27-28, 2024 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Leyte has successfully launched an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign aimed at enhancing the knowledge and efficiency of its registration personnel involved in the National ID System Registration. This initiative, designed to further educate the personnel about the importance, procedures, and objectives of the National ID System, marks a significant step in improving the implementation of the PhilSys in the region.

The IEC campaign is part of the ongoing efforts by PSA Leyte to ensure a smooth and successful national ID registration process for all Filipino citizens. The campaign aims to equip personnel with the proper understanding of the PhilSys, so they can effectively assist the public, manage registration operations, and address any queries regarding the National ID.

The IEC campaign focuses on a wide range of topics, including the importance of the National ID as a tool for ensuring efficient delivery of government services, the step-by-step process for registration, the benefits of having a National ID, and the data privacy and security measures in place to protect citizens' personal information.

Interactive sessions and workshops were conducted for PSA registration staff, enabling them to better engage with the public, promote the National ID program, and assist in addressing any challenges in the registration process. PSA Leyte is committed to ensuring that their personnel are not only knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the National ID but also capable of fostering trust and confidence in the program. It aims to create an environment where the public feels comfortable and informed throughout their registration journey.

PSA Leyte has also emphasized the importance of collaboration between government offices, local government units, and community organizations to ensure the seamless execution of the National ID registration and to reach underserved and remote areas across the province.

As the National ID System continues to roll out nationwide, PSA Leyte remains dedicated to supporting the government’s goal of issuing official identification to every Filipino citizen, thereby enhancing the delivery of public services, improving access to social welfare programs, and creating an inclusive digital economy.
