The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Samar, through the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP), in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Basey, Samar, and the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office (MCRO), successfully awarded Certificates of Live Birth and facilitated National ID registration for members of the Mamanwa Tribe in Sitio Rawis, Brgy. Guirang, Basey, Samar on 10 April 2025.

During the event, a total of 30 Certificates of Live Birth were officially awarded in security paper, while 53 Mamanwa Tribe members were registered to the National ID. This initiative underscores PSA’s commitment to ensuring access to vital civil registration services and promoting inclusion for Indigenous communities in the region.
