San Vicente, Northern Samar – In an effort to effectively reach communities of Northern Samar, National ID Team conducted a visit to the island municipality of San Vicente.
This initiative was carried out in response to the request of Honorable Mayor Edgar T. Catarongan and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Municipal Link, Ms. Donna Moralde-Tafalla. The primary objectives of the visit were to verify the status of National ID registrants who are current beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and to facilitate the registration of those eligible beneficiaries who have not yet been registered in the National ID system.

In collaboration with personnel from the Civil Registration System (CRS) of PSA RSSO VIII and Civil Registration Unit of PSO Northern Samar, the teams successfully provided various services from April 1 to 3, 2025. The initiative included National ID registration, acceptance and processing of requests for civil registry documents printed on Security Paper (SECPA), and the real-time printing and issuance of SECPA documents. These services were delivered across the barangays of Sangputan, Destacado, and Tarnate in the island municipality of San Vicente. The activity also catered to residents from neighboring barangays, including Sila, Punta, Mongolbongol, and Maragat, ensuring wider coverage and accessibility of provided services.
The National Team has successfully recorded a total of 224 individuals who have completed their national ID registration for the 3-day registration. This total includes 83 registrants within the 0-4 year-old age group, highlighting the team's commitment to inclusive registration efforts across all age groups.
Of the total registrants, 89 individuals were identified as beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program. In addition to registration, the team facilitated the issuance of 307 ePhilIDs, which are printed paper formats of the national ID. The issuance of these IDs serves to immediately provide registrants with a functional and recognized form of identification while waiting for the physical card.
Furthermore, the team undertook verification and authentication process for 4Ps beneficiaries, successfully validating the national ID of 151 beneficiaries. This step is vital in ensuring data accuracy and the integrity of beneficiary records within the national database, thereby strengthening the delivery of government services to rightful recipients.
Overall, these accomplishments reflect the dedication of the National Team in reaching target populations, improving identity access, and supporting national goals for inclusive development and streamlined service delivery. By bringing the services closer to the people, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas such as San Vicente, the team aims to ensure that residents have the opportunity to register for the National ID, while also promoting the office’s commitment to inclusive identification for all nortehanons. #
