The audit of Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) is a crucial process conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) to ensure proper maintenance and safeguarding of civil registry documents, assess compliance with laws, policies, and procedures, and identify areas for improvement in civil registration operations. In line with this, PSA Southern Leyte has successfully completed the audit of all 19 LCROs in Southern Leyte. 
 

This initiative was spearheaded by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Eutemio A. Llevado Jr., pursuant to Republic Act (RA) No. 10625, which grants the National Statistician and Civil Registrar General (NSCRG) the authority to conduct inspections and field visits. 
 

As part of this process, PSA Southern Leyte conducted random checks and field visits to evaluate the efficiency and accuracy of civil registry operations. The findings of this audit will help reinforce best practices, enhance data integrity, and improve public service delivery in civil registration across the province.
