The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office VIII (PSA RSSO 8) celebrates reaching an 85% completion rate for the issuance of electronic national IDs. As of 16 June 2023, a total of 1,704,914 ePhilIDs have been successfully issued to registered individuals as detailed in the table below:

While the target set was 2,003,315 IDs, the substantial progress made thus far underscores the relentless efforts of PSA towards achieving the goal of creating a Makabagong Pilipinas where services are more accessible to all Filipinos.

The ePhilID is an initiative the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) that will allow registrants to have their digital PhilID printed, downloaded, or generated in the mobile app for their use while waiting for their physical IDs. It will be honored similarly to that of the physical ID and shall be accepted as sufficient proof of identity and age in all government and private transactions.
