The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Biliran announces the conduct of the  2024 April Labor Force Survey (LFS). The LFS is a nationwide survey of households conducted by PSA to gather data on the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. It aims to measure the distribution of household population 15 years old and over by employment status, to determine various employment characteristics such as industry, class of worker, nature of employment and basis of payment. The April LFS is part of the quarterly survey conducted in between the regular monthly LFS. Results of the survey shall serve as basis for planning, formulation of policies, and implementing programs to create gainful employment, and bolster livelihood opportunities for the Filipinos.

The data collection period of the April 2024 LFS starts on 08 until 30 April 2024.  A total of seven (7) hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) were trained with needed skills and knowledge for the field data collection during the Third Level Training on  02 to 05 April 2024 at PSA Training Room.

A total of 385 sample households were systematically and randomly selected for the Province of Biliran. The sample households will be visited and enumerated by the hired SRs during the data collection period.

In line with this, PSA Biliran enjoins all sample households to support the said undertaking by providing accurate and complete information to the authorized data collectors of PSA. The information collected shall be treated with utmost confidentiality as mandated under Section 26 of the Republic Act No. 10625.
