The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Northern Samar has conducted various meetings to introduce National ID authentication services to local government units. This time, the office has extended its coordination efforts to health offices to help streamline services through the use of the National ID.

On 07 May 2025, National ID Team conducted a coordination meeting at the Provincial Health Office, which was attended by Dr. Maria Aurora D. Vicencio, OIC-Provincial Health Officer II, and Dr. Joseph A. Estanislao, Chief of Hospital II of NSPH.

The meeting began with a presentation of the meeting objectives by Information Officer I Nikka P. Pajarito, followed by an overview of the features and benefits of the National ID System. Registration Officer II Lany Lyn Magdaraog and Information Systems Analyst I Allen Jay Vista presented the National ID authentication services, including the onboarding process and necessary requirements. They also conducted a live demonstration of the various modes of authentication.

Addressing various concerns raised by the attending heads of offices, Dr. Estanislao concluded that, atleast they may access the eVerify.gov.ph website to use the authentication services if needed. However, the selection of a tier level for registration as a relying party was temporarily suspended, as he recommended that the PSA must first coordinate with the Management Information Systems Office (MISO) of the Provincial Government of Northern Samar (PGNS) as both PHO and NSPH operate under PGNS, which also oversees system management.

Also, Dr. Maria Aurora D. Vicencio expressed appreciation for the information shared about the National ID and its authentication process. She agreed that it would be sensible to first coordinate with MISO for confirmation and alignment of the system.

Nevertheless, Registration Officer III Marife R. Molon expressed her gratitude for the support of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) and Northern Samar Provincial Hospital (NSPH) in attending the meeting. She also shared that PSA RSSO VIII will schedule a regional-level coordination meeting with the Department of Health (DOH) to relay the approval for system integration, aiming to enhance government services and improve healthcare accessibility.
