The Philippine Statistics Authority – Samar presented the 2024 Community-based Monitoring System (CBMS) Preliminary Results for Pinabacdao, Samar on 25 July 2025 at the Municipal Function Hall, Pinabacdao, Samar.

The event was attended by Honorable Viannery Dy Mabag, Municipal Mayor of Pinabacdao, Samar, together with various LGU officials and Department Heads. The presentation, led by Senior Statistical Specialist Marilou G. Sarmiento, included a detailed overview of the preliminary results from the 2024 CBMS.  SrSS Sarmiento emphasized how CBMS data is integral to monitoring progress toward achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in relation to poverty reduction, health, and access to basic services.

The purpose of the activity was to provide local officials and stakeholders with an overview of the key performance indicators from the just concluded 2024 CBMS data collection. The presentation focused on key information concerning fundamental services.

The preliminary results must still be confirmed and reviewed before the CBMS data is formally turned over to the appropriate LGUs at the provincial level. PSA Samar reaffirms its commitment to assisting LGU Pinabacdao in making effective use of the data, particularly through technical support for capacity-building initiatives and policy development.
