The Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) of Northern Samar continued its series of orientations for Batch 4 Healthcare Workers as part of the ongoing Program Updates under the Department of Health’s Human Resources for Health (HRH) initiative. The session was held on 27 May 2025 at V-Centrale in Catarman, Northern Samar.

In line with the objective of keeping healthcare workers well-informed on relevant insights about National ID, PSA Northern Samar was once again invited by PDOHO to discuss during the event. With that, national ID team conducted an Information Awareness Campaign on the National ID System. The information campaign aimed to strengthen awareness and understanding of the benefits, registration process, and overall importance of the National ID System, particularly among frontline healthcare workers that has an important role in service delivery and community engagement.

The discussion emphasized the acceptability and validity of the National ID in all its formats, physical card, ePhilID, and digital version, based on the latest advisories and issuances from the PSA presented by Information Officer I Nikka Pajarito and Registration Officer II Lany Lyn Magdaraog had the discussion on the commonly asked questions of the public on National ID.

During the session, some participants raised queries regarding the procedures for updating the marital status in national ID, and the registration process for senior citizens who were unable to physically visit registration centers due to mobility issues. These concerns were addressed by RO II Magdaraog, who provided clear explanations about the required documentation, step-by-step procedures, and the expected timelines for processing such updates.

This collaborative initiative served not only as an informative platform for healthcare personnel and other stakeholders but also as a proof to a strong inter-agency coordination aimed at improving public access to essential government services.
