The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Padre Burgos is once again setting the bar high, taking on the challenge of being the first LGU in Region VIII to launch the National ID Integration initiative. This follows their historic achievement as the first LGU in the entire Philippines to hold a turnover ceremony and receive their 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) data. 
 

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Southern Leyte team, led by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Eutemio A. Llevado Jr., met with Mayor Hermenegildo C. Culpa, Municipal Civil Registrar Renan S. Maglinte, department heads, and staff to discuss the integration of the National ID system into the LGU’s services. 

The meeting covered key topics, including

• National ID acceptance in local government transactions

• National ID authentication services

• Demonstration and technical walkthrough of the integration process

•  Onboarding requirements for implementation

Mayor Culpa expressed full support for the initiative, recognizing its potential to enhance government services, improve efficiency, and streamline processes for the benefit of Padre Burgos residents.

With this bold move, LGU Padre Burgos is reaffirming its dedication to modernization and public service excellence. The initiative aligns with national efforts to promote digital transformation and ease of doing business through the National system.

The PSA Southern Leyte team lauded LGU Padre Burgos for its proactive stance and commitment, nothing that its leadership in data-driven governance and technological integration serves as a model for other LGUs across the country.

As preparations for the National ID Integration move forward, LGU Padre Burgos is set to establish a seamless and efficient system that will benefit its constituents.
