Tacloban City’s inflation rate climbed to 0.9 percent in April 2025, up from 0.2 percent in March 2025. In comparison, the rate in the same month last year was higher at 3.2 percent.
Leyte’s inflation rate rose to 1.5 percent in April 2025, up from 0.8 percent in March 2025. This is lower by 1.9 percentage points from the 3.4 percent inflation rate in the same month last year.
The total trade in Leyte (including Tacloban City) for the fourth quarter of 2024 amounted to
$1.3 billion lower by 11.54 percent compared to $1.5 billion total trade in the same period of 2023.
