The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA Southern Leyte) successfully concluded the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Review and Presentation of Preliminary Results for the remaining three (3) municipalities in Southern Leyte marking the full completion of CBMS data review and presentation activities across the province.
The final leg of the 2024 CBMS data review was conducted in the municipalities of Anahawan, Saint Bernard, and Macrohon on 16 July 2025 for the first two municipalities and on 17 July 2025 for the last municipality, respectively. Local government officials, municipal planning and development coordinators, and department heads of the said local government units (LGUs) attended the activity, which highlighted statistics and indicators gathered through the CBMS for an evidence-based planning, budgeting, and policy-making at the local level. Provincial Statistics Officer Eutemio A. Llevado, Jr. expressed appreciation for the active participation and commitment of all LGUs in the successful implementation of the 2024 CBMS. “The completion of data reviews and preliminary results presentations in all municipalities of the province signifies a major milestone in our shared goal of fostering inclusive development and data-driven governance,” he said.

The CBMS provides comprehensive and up-to-date data on the socio-economic conditions of households in every barangay. With the completion of the data review and initial results presentation in all municipalities and city in Southern Leyte, LGUs are now better equipped to craft responsive programs, target interventions for vulnerable sectors, and track progress toward local and national development goals.
