As of January 1, 2020, the total inventory of livestock in Leyte was estimated at 278,917 heads. This was 1.35 percent lower than the previous year’s inventory of 282,731 heads (Table 1). Cattle had the highest decrease in stocks with 7.91 percent, followed by carabao and goat with 2.91 percent and 1.89, respectively. Among livestock animals, only the goat had the positive growth in inventory with 7.10 percent.
