The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA-RSSO) VIII is implementing Office Memorandum 2020-85 “Coronavirus Disease 2019 Response Protocol” on 10-14 February 2021. Regular operations will resume on 15 February 2021.
This measure is undertaken in view of the recently confirmed COVID 19-positive employee who has been isolated and currently under observation in a treatment facility. Following measures take effect immediately:
Temporary closure of PSA Civil Registry Service (CRS) Outlet, Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) and Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Leyte, during the said dates.
Disinfection of PSA RSSO VIII premises and all service vehicles.
All PSA RSSO VIII employees shall undergo home quarantine and adopt work from home (WFH) arrangement with their respective supervisors or unit heads.
Coordination with their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) or City Health Office for proper monitoring or possible contact tracing.
PSA would like to assure the public that precautionary measures are in place to prevent virus transmission. The Office upholds “bayanihan” and is one with the rest of the world in helping contain any possible COVID-19 case. PSA also appeals for public understanding, compassion and cooperation in this fight against COVID-19. Please refrain from spreading fake news in order to avoid panic.
Meanwhile, it is business as usual in the Provincial Statistical Offices (PSOs) of Biliran, Eastern Samar, Northern Samar, Samar and Southern Leyte.
