In view of the reported confirmed Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) positive employee from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Northern Samar Provincial Statistical Office, and pursuant to Office Memorandum 2020-85 “Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Response Protocol”, the following risk reduction measures will be implemented in PSA – Northern Samar:
- Temporary closure of PSA – Northern Samar, including its frontline services to the public from 14 - 16 October 2020.
- All PSA – Northern Samar employees with close contact to the confirmed COVID-19 positive case shall undergo home quarantine and shall immediately report to their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) for proper monitoring.
- Disinfection of the PSA – Northern Samar office and all service vehicles.
- Coordination with the Municipal Health Office for proper contact tracing.
PSA would like to assure the public that precautionary measures have been implemented to prevent virus transmission. The employee has been confined in a quarantine facility and has not reported to the office since 2 October 2020, before the onset of the symptoms on 5 October 2020. In addition, the office in coordination with the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), conducted disinfection on 9 October 2020.
PSA Northern Samar employees will adopt Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement from 14 – 16 October 2020.
