The Inflation Rate (IR) in Eastern Visayas continued to increase to 6.8 percent in June 2022, from 6.3 percent in May 2022. The regional IR was higher than the 6.1 percent national IR in June 2022 and was the highest recorded IR since November 2018 (Table 2). The IR in June 2021 was lower at 4.5 percent. Eastern Visayas fishery production was recorded at 24,527 metric tons (MT) from 28,424 MT output a year ago, representing an annual downtrend of -13.71 percent. This was brought about by the decreases in the production of commercial and aquaculture fisheries by -5.43 percent and -82.60 percent, respectively.
